About Genera Energy

Located in Knoxville, Tennessee, Genera Energy LLC was formed to implement the University of Tennessee’s Biofuels Initiative, a $70.5 million state investment in developing a cellulosic biofuels industry in Tennessee, with a farm field to future fuels approach.
 

Genera provides a vehicle to leverage stage and federal funding with private research and development investments and strategic partnerships to further the research, economic development and clean energy objectives of Tennessee and The University of Tennessee.
